The Zehetmair Quartet has established itself as one of the most remarkable world-class string quartets. Its special attention has been dedicated to the œuvre of Paul Hindemith.
A recording with the 4th Quartet, Op. 22 and Bartók's 5th Quartet was discussed as a reference recording in the media, and received the Diapason d'Or in 2007. The ensemble is on tour with Hindemith's 5th Quartet, Op. 32 during the 2014/15 season. On 23 November 2014 it will be receiving the Hindemith Prize of the City of Hanau.
