It was unavailable for decades and eventually even considered missing: the autograph manuscript score of Paul Hindemith's Klaviermusik mit Orchester (Klavier: linke Hand) Op. 29 (1923) together with the autograph manuscript of the piano part. Now it has turned up again in a Basle manuscript collection.

Early in the summer of 1923 Paul Hindemith sent two packets of music from Frankfurt to Vienna. They contained the score and piano part of the Klaviermusik mit Orchester (Klavier: linke Hand), Op. 29.
The new changing exhibition »Giving Vanished Music a Hearing- Hindemith and Early Music« was opened at the Cowherds' Tower on 10 June 2017. Documents pertaining to Hindemith's intensive occupation with the multi-facetted subject of Early Music are open for public viewing on five charts and in a showcase.
