Sponsors and Friends

Their outstanding musical talent gave the two adolescent sons Paul and Rudolf access to the bourgeois urban society of Frankfurt. Well-situated families gave material and spiritual support to the Hindemith family, who lived in hard-pressed circumstances and Paul remained bound to them in gratitude for the rest of his life.
