The Hindemith Music Centre in Blonay (Vaud, Switzerland) is housed in the Chalet Lacroix built around 1900 that was acquired and modernised by the Hindemith Foundation in 1976. The Hindemith Foundation expanded the Hindemith Music Centre through the new construction of a Pavilion in 1988. Up to 45 visitors can be received in a familiar atmosphere in the Chalet and in the Pavilion. The property is surrounded by a 17,000 m² park with old trees, providing a view onto Lake Geneva and the Alps. The beauty and peace of these surroundings encourage concentrated work, at the same time offering restful relaxation.
